Pulling Down Strongholds in Your Life - Learn the Truth!
HOW TO PULL DOWN STRONGHOLDS IN OUR LIVES?
When we think about pulling down strongholds, immediately,
spiritual warfare comes to our minds, and this is because it's only through spiritual
warfare that you will be able to obtain victory and get those evil influences
out of your life. If you think about what I’ve just said, there is a war involved. This means that if there is a war, we will need weapons. There’s no way that
an army could win a battle without weapons, and if we’re going to talk about
the destruction of strongholds, we must make our weapons a priority.
Before we even begin, we need to understand what a stronghold is really all about, and the answer is simple: Anything that is keeping you chained or "kidnapped" is a stronghold in your life. Are you addicted to something that in the long run will do you a lot of harm? Are you obsessed with an uncontrollable desire? Are you having family or relationship problems in your life? Does it seem as if everything that you do goes wrong? Them, you'll need to read this article.
In order to be a
successful warrior and pull down those strongholds that are affecting
our lives,
“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with
truth”
The truth is the first weapon that we have, but the question is: What is the truth? And to answer that, we need to understand that before the deception of Satan entered the heart of mankind, there was a different reality, and everything was perfect. Illness and disease were something that didn’t exist, and there was no such thing as poverty; hatred and death were unknown because there was absolute peace, and love ruled the world.
This is the TRUTH that God intended for us; this is what is supposed to be; this is REALITY. When Satan came to the woman in the Garden of Eden, he deceived her, and the deception entered mankind; at that moment, everything turned into a different reality and death came into existence.
Diseases began to attack all life on earth; the earth was cursed, and therefore, everything started to go rotten, and poverty came into existence as a result. Hatred started to rule the creation, and selfishness was planted in the heart of men. This is the deception; this is not what is supposed to be; this is NOT REALITY.
As you might’ve heard before, the Bible compares the truth to the light and the deception to the darkness, and this comparison is used because, in reality, the interaction between light and darkness is identical to the interaction between the truth and the deception.This is the TRUTH that God intended for us; this is what is supposed to be; this is REALITY. When Satan came to the woman in the Garden of Eden, he deceived her, and the deception entered mankind; at that moment, everything turned into a different reality and death came into existence.

When darkness is exposed to the light, it disappears immediately; in other words, it ceases to exist. Darkness is not pushed aside; it’s not sent to another place; it simply becomes nonexistent. Exactly the same happens between the truth and the deception. When the truth shines upon the deception, it simply disappears; it ceases to exist.
If you want to fight the deception (The darkness) you have to be walking in the truth (The light.) You have to put yourself in that place, when everything was perfect, and before the deception took a hold of mankind; this is what we call: “Walking in the Spirit,” and this is why when the demons saw Jesus coming, they couldn't stand him, and they had no other choice but to go.
They had no other choice but to disappear because they were darkness, and Jesus the light of this world. We can conclude, then, that walking in the Spirit (Walking in the light) is one of our major weapons.
THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, OUR GREATEST WEAPON FOR PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLDS
Now, let’s take a look at another one of our great weapons, the Word of God. This is the most powerful weapon that we have; however, it’s useless without the truth because they both interact in order to be effective. The Word of God, as we all know, is the sword that has been given to us by God Almighty:
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God”
The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit, and it’s the action of the truth. When Jesus said to the cripple, "Get up, pick up your mat and walk," the truth came into existence by the action of the Word. In reality, the crippled man wasn’t supposed to be crippled, and when Jesus spoke, the light of the truth was turned on, and the deception vanished.

The truth and the Word of God are one; we cannot separate them, and one would be nothing without the other. When you’re walking in the light of the truth, the Word of God in your mouth becomes powerful, and all demonic forces have to flee away by the power of the Word that comes out of your mouth. If you’re walking in the light of the truth, you will tell cancer, “Go away,” and it will go away.
As we read in the previous Bible scripture, the helmet of salvation is another weapon that we have; this is a “Self-defense weapon” that will keep you safe from the attacks of Satan. Someone that’s not saved can’t cast a demon away because the light of the truth is not in him. We read in the book of Acts that this is exactly what happened to 7 Jewish brothers that tried to cast a demon away. Let’s take a look at the following Bible verse:

As we read in the previous Bible scripture, the helmet of salvation is another weapon that we have; this is a “Self-defense weapon” that will keep you safe from the attacks of Satan. Someone that’s not saved can’t cast a demon away because the light of the truth is not in him. We read in the book of Acts that this is exactly what happened to 7 Jewish brothers that tried to cast a demon away. Let’s take a look at the following Bible verse:
“And there were seven sons of one
Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the
priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and
Paul I know; but
who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and
overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house
naked and wounded.”
As we can see, these men were not protected with the helmet of salvation and didn’t have the truth in them, and as a result, they suffered terrible consequences. The shield of faith is another “Self-defense weapon” that the Lord has given to us, so we can quench the attacks of Satan:
“Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

Faith is our shield, and without it, it would be impossible to step into the battlefield and fight the enemy. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1, that faith is “the evidence of things not seen.” But how can you have the evidence of something that you can’t even see? Many of us pray for a miracle, but deep inside we have a feeling of disbelief, and this is the reason as to why things are not happening in our lives.
In order for us to have faith, we need to be living in the Spirit and dead to the things of this world. There are no two ways about it. You can’t have faith while you’re still attached to earthly things. Once you let go of yourself, faith will come to you as a result because you will be walking in the Spirit. In conclusion, each weapon that we have has a purpose, and they all work together, so let’s get ready and get to know our weapons before we step on the battlefield.
