Why Should Christians Be Concerned About Terrorism?
Even though it wasn’t my subject of study, science has always been one of my greatest passions because in it I can see the wonders of God. Many years ago, scientists such as Galileo Galilei and Isaac Newton, were men that believed in God and saw his wonders in everything they discovered, but as time went on, many scientists began to draw away from God, and there’s a strong reason for that.
I’ve studied the behavior of great scientists such as Stephen Hawking and Richard Dawkins, and as most of us know, they’re both very intelligent, but will not accept the fact that there’s a supreme being that created us. I’ve seen many interviews and documentaries about them, and I’ve found the real reason as to why they don’t believe in God.

Many people might think that these great scientists don’t believe in God because of their scientific theories and discoveries, but if you pay close attention to them, you will find that they don’t believe in God because they feel resentful towards religion. This resentment comes from way back when the Catholic Church (According to history) persecuted scientists. Many of them were oppressed by the church, and as a result, science took a major step back, and many years of development were lost.
As we all know, the Catholic Inquisition was brutal and used terror in order to bring people into submission. They burned people alive and committed unimaginable tortures. The impact of the Inquisition was so great that even till today, many people, especially the scientific community, feel resentment towards God, and therefore, refuse to accept him in their hearts, thinking that all Christians are religious fanatics.
Religious fanaticism, up to this day, is giving God a bad name, and it’s killing more souls than physical bodies. There are millions upon millions of people that don’t want to know anything about God because they feel that anybody that practices some kind of religion is wrong.
As we all know very well, religious fanaticism is the foundation of terrorism, and even though terrorism uses Islam to achieve its purpose, we all pay the price because, to an ungodly man, we all look the same.
Today, many people use terrorism as another excuse not to believe in God, and what’s worse, it’s reinforcing their atheistic sentiments. If you think that a terrorist attack is something terrible, I tell you today that their religious fanaticism is more devastating because they’re killing souls by the millions.

Remember that Satan is a smart being, and terrorism is a “multi-task” weapon that he uses to destroy millions and millions of souls. People are turning away from God because his name is being used to inflict this horrific pain on society, and as a result, more people are declaring themselves as atheists.

You can preach all you want; you can go out and try to evangelize the world tomorrow, but it won’t do you any good if you are not fighting in the Spirit. It’s our mission to bring the gospel to every corner of the world, but let’s be strategic and take the bull by its horns and not by its tail; let’s first fight the evil spirit of terrorism.
THE UNFORGIVENESS OF THE HEART
“Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”
Leviticus 19:17-18
They say that “violence brings more violence,” and if we go by the same rule, we can also say that, “hatred brings more hatred.” As Christians, we know that the first commandment that we should follow is to love our neighbors, and this includes our earthly enemies, by the way.
Matthew 5-44:48
We must not hate the terrorist groups because they are lost souls that are being used by Satan, and as Christians, we have to love them and pray for them. The problem is that the world doesn’t understand that, and many people are getting bitter inside, so this means that their souls are getting full of hatred, preventing the message of salvation from entering their hearts, and this is how Satan manages to use terrorism in order to destroy more souls.
The terrorist attacks may destroy your body, but the effects of these attacks are far greater than what we can imagine. If you don’t think so, go ask any New Yorker that was present at the World Trade Center when the attacks of September 11 occurred.
Many hearts in New York City were broken that day, and many will never recover from such tremendous impact. Almost three thousand people were killed, but probably more than half of the 8 million people that live in New York City WILL NEVER FORGIVE.
Now, let me ask you a question: What do you think that happens to those who are left bitter inside as a result of a terrorist attack? That’s right. They learn to hate and cannot forgive, and as Christians, we should already know what will happen to their souls. When judgment day comes, it’s not going to be pretty for them, but it’s not going to be pretty for us either if we do nothing about it today.
