How to Break Curses in Your Life. Don’t wait until it’s Too Late!
Before we talk about how to break
curses, I’d like to tell you a little about myself. As some of
you might already know, for 15 years, my family and I went through a terrible
ordeal, and since the age of 12, I learned to live under the same roof with a
demon-possessed mother.
My testimony, for those of you who don’t know me, is a
powerful example of demonic possessions and family curses; a curse that entered
our lives because my brothers and I played the Ouija board a few times, and my grandfather practiced witchcraft.
For 15 years, my own mother was tormented by Satan and his demonic power. I saw her going in and out of a trance many times, and the struggle
that we went through was almost unbearable, but in the end, my mother was set
free, and by the grace of the Lord, she's still alive and has been free for
almost 20 years now.
For many years, after the deliverance of my mother, my heart was restless
inside. My past was haunting me wherever I went. I couldn’t talk to
anybody about what had happened to me and my family. Even after being saved,
and after the deliverance of my mother, I was still carrying so much pain inside.
The devil destroyed my past, and I lost many years of happiness. I lost my
teenage years and most of my youth because I carried an evil curse in me, and
this curse was on my entire family. For a long time, everything went downhill
for us. This curse left us devastated, and it followed us wherever we went. No
matter what we did, everything always went wrong in our lives.
There were many things that I wanted to forget, but I just couldn’t do it
until I finally got set free and delivered by the power of the Word of God, and
today, I'm here to share my experience with you and help you find freedom from
your oppression .
As I write this article, I think about the past that I left behind, and
all this time, I have researched and meditated on all these things that
happened to my mother. I have found that these demonic forces are strong
and powerful and that a person alone cannot fight them.
I’ve learned that if you must cut a tree, you must cut it from its roots,
or else it will grow again. As you read before, everything started because my
brothers and I played with the Ouija board, and that opened the door to these
demonic influences, because we were exposed to them until the curse was cut right from its roots.
This experience taught me many things, and now that I’m a Christian, I
will share my experience, and the gift that the Lord has given me with those who
might be struggling with a demonic curse in their lives today, but first, we need to
understand what a curse is, so let’s get started.
WHAT IS A CURSE?
Often times, when we think about a curse, witchcraft comes to mind, but witchcraft is just one of many evil influences that can trigger a curse. To put it into simple words, you'll need to understand that a curse is a stronghold that entered our lives when we were exposed to an evil influence.
An evil influence that brought negative reactions to our lives. This is the basic concept, and in the Spirit, we are able to see what actually takes place. These are demonic oppressions that felt welcomed when you opened the door to them, and now they don’t want to leave.
They have a lifetime to stay with you, and this is why we see people getting old and still tormented by their past, but I’m here to tell you that, as Christians, we have a way out.
You can’t continue accepting this demonic oppression in your life, so it has to go, and today is the day that your life is going to change and take a better direction; today is the first day of your deliverance, so you can be effective in your prayer life.
Many of us ignore how demons manifest themselves in the physical world. The general misconception is that these demonic forces only manifest when they possess a body, or when someone invokes them, but this is only half of the picture.
The reality is that there are many ways in which these demons can manifest themselves in us, creating a stronghold in our past that’s still present in our lives today.
These influences enter our lives and stay with us for many years, and sometimes, for an entire life, and this becomes a curse for us, preventing us from prospering in everything that we do, so the key to removing any curse in your life is to get rid of these demonic forces.
HOW TO REMOVE A CURSE
I don’t know what you’re going through today, but if you’re reading this message is because you, or a loved one, are being tormented by a demonic force.
And you don’t know how to remove that curse that has affected you for many years, but I want to tell you today that there’s hope for you, and I’ll tell you a secret: The Devil is just as strong as you allow him to be.
We’ve been told many times that
Satan uses the deception in order to get his way, and that’s correct. As we
will read in the following Bible verse, Satan used the deception as his
strategy. Today is no different than in the
past.
He still uses the deception in order to destroy you, so we are going to
counterattack this strategy. The Lord Jesus Christ showed us how to fight
Satan, and he showed us how to counterattack his deception. Let’s take a look
at the following verse from the King James Bible :
“And the devil said unto him, if thou be the Son of
God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, it is written, that man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word of God”
Luke 4:3-4
The key to deliverance is to understand that the curse that's upon you is a deception, a lie from Satan that he had you believed for a long time.
He made you believe that you are sick or that everything that you do will not prosper in your hands, but let me tell you today, that's a filthy lie from the devil! And today you’re going to break that lie by throwing the truth at him.
Now, I’m going to give you your
weapons, and you’re going to learn how to get rid of that curse, so you can
defend yourself. The devil is holding you hostage, and he’s got to be stopped.
You're going to fight him back with the following scriptures; you’re going to
turn on the light on him and watch him disappear, so here is your strategy:
You’re going to throw the following Bible verses at him. I picked them especially for you, and this is the way that you're going to do it, let’s do some spiritual warfare:
“Satan, you have no power over me. I am covered with the blood of Christ. I command you to go now in the name of Jesus; in the name of the Truth. Go back to your place of darkness. My past is behind, and I declare myself free today. Satan, get out. I order you to leave NOW... It is written that:” (Now, throw the scripture at him)

escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

“In God, whose word I
praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?”
Now, keep in mind that this could take several days of prayer and that there are other factors involved; for example, walking in obedience, fasting and keeping a prayer life, so if you feel that these things are missing in your Christian walk, get right with the Lord today.
HOW TO BREAK A CURSE IN YOUR FAMILY
Another thing to take into consideration in order to break a curse is that you’ll need to determine if there are any curses imposed on your family. Sometimes, a curse could be affecting you individually, but many times it affects the entire household, such as it was my case.
To determine if you are dealing with a family curse, you must ask yourself questions, which will lead to a specific answer:

As
a group, do we prosper in our lives?

Are
we divided as a family group?
·
Have
we gone through many tragedies?
·
Do
most of us suffer from terrible illness?
·
Are
most of us finding salvation in Christ?
Ask these questions to yourself, and if most of the answers are not in your favor, chances are that you are all going through a family curse. If this is the case, and if possible, you must all pray together and seek the help of the church for intercessory prayer.
Remember that, as a group, you must fight together and understand that one person cannot do it alone. Don’t try to be “Super Holy man” because you’re going to lose. Seek your Pastor’s help, and if your family members are not saved, you'll have to have your pastor pray for them, even if they are not present.
BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES
Breaking a generational curse is not an easy task, but remember that for the Lord nothing is impossible. Think of a curse as cancer, which could affect a bloodline generation after generation.
Cancer that will not stop until its gene is completely removed (If it could be done.) Speaking in spiritual terms, the way to remove a “cancer gene” is through the blood of Jesus and spiritual warfare prayer to break that generational curse.
We need to understand that a generational curse is similar to a family curse. The difference is that a family curse affects your immediate household, and it was imposed to your family within your lifetime, and a generational one was imposed to a generation before yours (To grandparents, great-grandparents, etc.)
This curse is more powerful than a family, or individual curse, and you'll need to repent as a group so this evil stronghold could be broken. The best thing that you can do is to seek the help of the church and get the family involved as well.
But if that’s not possible, get together with your Christian family members and fight the devil. Here is a little prayer that you can do together, if it’s possible, so let’s get started:
“Heavenly Father, we come to you Lord, and we seek your forgiveness for what we’ve done. We also forgive those who have gone before us, and we understand that they are no longer here, but their deeds are still affecting us today. We cover ourselves with the blood of Christ today, and we ask for your protection Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, Satan, we rebuke you today. We come together with the power of the Word, and in the name of Jesus Christ, we break any curse imposed on our ancestors. We declare ourselves free from the past, and we cover ourselves with the blood of the Lamb. Any demonic force that is affecting us today, we rebuke it, and with the authority that has been given to us, we break this curse today… in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.”
In conclusion, it’s not about knowing how to break curses; it’s about your willingness to do something about it. It will all depend on your determination and the fight that you will bring to the devil.
Remember that it’s all a deception from Satan, and this is something that you'll have to keep in mind all the time. Ultimately, what you believe to be the truth is the key to deliverance, so in the end two things are going to happen: Either you’re going to believe God, or you’re going to believe Satan.
